Doctor Sued By Three Victims Alleging Sexual Abuse
Victims alleging sexual abuse. When you visit the doctor, you expect professionalism and privacy. You don’t think that you are going to be sexually abused by anyone, especially the doctor. However, that is exactly what happened, according to three women patients. Three women allege that each was molested by a doctor during medical appointments at a Dixon medical center. The lawsuit was brought against the doctor, Andy Y. Zhu, and Community Medical Centers in Dixon, CA.

What Are the Allegations Against the Doctor and Clinic?
Three women have come forward to file claims against the doctor and the clinic where he was employed. The lawsuit alleges that Dr. Zhu sexually molested the women between 2014 and 2020 when they were patients at Community Medical Centers, also known as Dixon Family Practice. The first woman says she tried to file a complaint of sexual misconduct years ago but was ignored. She went to the clinic for a prescription refill in 2014 and stated that the doctor touched her inappropriately. She and her mother later called the clinic to report the incident, but nothing came of it at the time.
In 2015, a different woman patient alleges she was also misappropriately touched during a visit with the same doctor at Community Medical Center. She reported that the doctor touched her breasts inappropriately during an exam. When she reported the incident, she was told that it was part of the normal exam. In 2020, a 16-year-old girl alleges she was inappropriately touched by the doctor. She reported it to the staff, who then filed a police report.
Sexual Abuse Criminal Charges Have Not Yet Been Filed
In this case, criminal charges have not been filed against the doctor yet. However, the Dixon Police Department referred the case to the Solano County District Attorney. The doctor is also under investigation by the Medical Board of California. Recently, the first victim was contacted by the Medical Board of California as part of an investigation into the doctor. It is likely that there is an ongoing criminal investigation as well as the review of the doctor’s medical license. The women involved are cooperating with any ongoing investigations.
Three Victims Alleging Sexual Abuse – There May Be More Victims
So far, three women have come forward to file claims against the doctor and the clinic. The clinic could be liable if they knew about the allegations but failed to take action. At least one of the women states that if the clinic had taken her report seriously at the time, it could have prevented the doctor from sexually abusing others. It is possible and maybe likely that there are more victims. The doctor was practicing full-time and had contact with thousands of women during the time he worked at this particular clinic. If there are more victims, they should file claims themselves. After the doctor left the Dixon practice, he worked at another hospital organization in the area called Dignity Health Woodland Clinic. The clinic states that the doctor is no longer working there.
