Mariano Hernandez Arrested for Sexual Assault
Recently, Mariano Hernandez, 32, was arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student. Hernandez worked as a behavior interventionist at Benson Elementary School, which is located in the Tustin Unified School District. According to reports, Hernandez was found with a 16-year-old victim who was attending Foothill High School, also in the Tustin Unified School District. Hernandez and the victim admitted that they were in a “dating relationship” that had gone on for a few weeks.
Sexual misconduct with a minor is against the law. The Santa Ana Police Department was alerted to an incident in the area of Westwood Avenue and Riviera Drive, where it was suspected that sexual activity inside a vehicle was taking place. Upon arriving, the suspect, Mariano Hernandez, and a 16-year-old female Foothill High School student were found in the backseat of the car.
Mariano Hernandez was arrested by the Santa Ana officers and booked into the Santa Ana Jail. Hernandez is facing various sexual assault charges.
